Part B: Nursery registration terms
When you register your child at Golden Kidz Daycare, the following key terms apply. They sit alongside our full Policies and Procedures, which are available at the nursery entrance and on request, and the details you provide when you register your child.
8. Your responsibilities
- You will let us know of any change to your registration details, including phone numbers, as soon as possible.
- Written consent is required each time prescribed medication (including Calpol) is administered. All medication must be provided by you, in date, and clearly labelled with your child’s name and dosage.
- You will tell us of any accident or injury your child has had since their last session.
- We cannot accept a child who has a contagious illness, or who has had diarrhoea or vomiting in the previous 48 hours.
9. Fees and funding
Fees are payable in accordance with the payment schedule agreed with the nursery. Parents and guardians remain responsible for paying fees during periods of child absence, sickness, holidays, bank holidays and nursery closure days unless otherwise confirmed in writing.
Funded childcare hours are subject to local authority eligibility rules and availability. Any additional hours, meals, consumables or services may be charged separately where applicable. Any deposit or registration fee, accepted payment methods and the process for late payment will be confirmed in your fees agreement.
10. Collection and late collection
Children are released only to the parents or authorised adults you have named, using the agreed collection password. Children must be collected by their agreed collection time. A late collection charge of £1 per minute may apply where a child is collected after their booked session or agreed collection time. Repeated late collection may result in a review of the child’s place or session arrangements.
11. Notice and changes to sessions
One month’s written notice is required to withdraw your child or to reduce booked sessions.
12. Safeguarding and emergencies
In an emergency, we will take reasonable steps to contact the child’s parent or guardian. Where urgent action is required to protect a child’s health, safety or welfare, we may seek medical advice, contact emergency services, or arrange transport to a doctor or hospital where appropriate.
We may share information with safeguarding, medical, local authority, Ofsted or emergency professionals where this is necessary or legally required.
13. Complaints
If you have a concern or complaint, please contact the nursery manager in the first instance. We will aim to respond fairly, promptly and in line with our Complaints Policy. Parents may also contact Ofsted where a complaint relates to childcare standards, safeguarding or regulatory matters.
